Citadel L5 HB Cattle Vaccine is an injectable animal vaccine manufactured by Boehringer Ingelheim labeled for the vaccination of healthy beef cattle, dairy cattle (lactating and non-lactating), and swine.
Indications and Coverage
Leptospirosis Protection: Helps protect against five common strains of Leptospira: L. canicola, L. grippotyphosa, L. hardjo (type hardjo-bovis), L. icterohaemorrhagiae, and L. pomona.
Infection Control: Helps clear renal infections and prevents urinary shedding of L. hardjo, which is primarily responsible for chronic lepto infections in cattle.
Dosage and Administration
Dose: Administer 2 mL per animal.
Route: Given via subcutaneous (subcut) or intramuscular (IM) injection for cattle, and intramuscular (IM) injection for swine.
Repeat: Repeat vaccination in 14 to 28 days (consult your veterinarian for annual or regional revaccination schedules)
