Gen 5:
Every 6 hours you will get a data package of how much an animal grazes, rests, ruminates,
walks, drinks/unclassified as well as how much dry matter intake has occurred, and
methane output. Along with the 4 standard data packages a day, CERES TAG devices will
now get an additional daily summary with Pasture Feed Intake (PFI) information. PFI offers
insights into cattle grazing efficiency, giving ranchers like yourself more insights into
improving genetics and pasture utilization.
The tag functions on a 7-day rolling average where it will create a baseline to what is normal
for an animal in respects to its behavior. If a behavior that makes activity spike abnormally
whether it be predation, or theft, a High Activity Alert will be sent in real time to the
producer (outside of the data packages). On the contrary, we also have No Activity Alerts
that are activated when the device has not registered any activity for 60 minutes, this can
indicate mortality. With our software partners, you can create geofences on maps to
monitor if livestock are in their designated area. Alerts will be sent if a geofence has been
breached.
These are in stock now.
