FerAppease Maternal Bovine Appeasing Substance is a topical substance applied to healthy cattle to mitigate the detrimental effects of stress. FerAppease contains a synthetic analogue of the Maternal Bovine Appeasing Substance (MBAS, which is a proprietary mixture of fatty acids that replicates the composition of the naturally occuring MBAS).
FerAppease should be applied before animals are exposed to stressful physiological events or stressful management strategies.

We have used FerAppease on the Broken Horn D Ranch for 2 years, when processing claves, castrating, weaning, etc. We run the animals quietly into the lead up, apply FerAppease as directed and within minutes they are calm and settled and handle the processing with ease. The first time we used it, everyone was skeptical, but we are all believers now! We highly recommend this product, it is well worth the cost to have calmer, less stressed animals that stay on feed and perform well.
