Mixing Directions For Liquid Feeding: Please see the following table for feeding instructions. Add 1 level enclosed cup of dry Sav-A-Lam Milk Replacer powder to 1 pint (2 enclosed cups) of warm (115-120°F) water and mix thoroughly with a wire whisk. The enclosed cup holds approximately 4 ounces by weight (113 grams) of dry powder, equal in volume to a standard measuring cup. Feed the reconstituted milk replacer solution at about 90-100°F if feeding by bottle. If feeding free choice, chill the mixed milk replacer solution to help prevent over-consumption, and provide fresh solution daily.
Feeding Directions: 0 to 24 hours: 6 feedings per day (1/4 to 1/2 cup per feeding) 2 to 4 days: 4 to 6 feedings per day (1/2 cup per feeding) 5 to 14 days: 4 feedings per day (3/4 to 1 cup per feeding) 15 to 30 days: 3 feedings per day (1-1/2 cups per feeding) 30 days to weaning: 2 feedings per day (2 cups per feeding) Storage: Refrigerate unused Sav-A-Lam Milk Replacer solution immediately after mixing. Reheat gently over warm water and mix thoroughly before feeding. Do not microwave or freeze the solution. Discard unused refrigerated Sav-A-Lam solution after 24 hours. Store dry Sav-A-Lam powder in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry place, and use within 6 months of manufacture whenever possible. Freezing the dry powder in an airtight container may extend shelf life. Important: Individual lambs vary in requirements. Adjust the amount of powder and/or liquid milk replacer fed according to the lamb's body weight and appetite, the environmental conditions and your own good judgment. When in question about nutrition requirements please consult with your veterinarian or animal nutritionist.
