AmproMed is amprolium in a 20% soluble powder or 9.6% oral solution. Use as an aid in the treatment of and prevention of coccidiosis in calves. Coccidiosis can be caused by Eimeria bovis and E. zurnii in calves.
Powder - AmproMed for Calves is a 20% soluble powder that can be fed to calves in drinking water of as a drench.
- For use as a 5-day treatment, give 10 mg per 2.2 lbs of body weight daily. As a preventative, give 5 mg per 2.2 lbs of body weight daily for 21 days.
Liquid - Can be used in the drinking water or as a drench.
- Recommended treatment dosage is 16 oz. AmproMed to 100 gallons drinking water for 5 days. Recommended prevention dosage is 8 oz. AmproMed to 100 gallons drinking water for 21 days.
